Mela is a religious fair. This fair is really large. In this fair mass Hindus
join to bath in the sacred river. It is held every 12 year and every time more
than 100 million people join this fair. It is the biggest religious gathering
in the world. Even in 2011 the mass was so large that it was visible from
space!!

launching board decided to transport it on bicycle to the Thumba Launching

that Indians have more access to mobiles than a toilet and improved sanitation.
Around 800 million people in India defecate in open and roughly 400 million
Indians have access to toilet and proper sanitation. While on the other hand,
there are 80 cell phones per 100 people in India. That is about 1,017,968,757
cell phones for the population of 1,364,270,000 people.

water on Moon.
This is 100% true. In 2009, India’s first
Moon satellite Chandrayaan-1 became the first to detect water on Moon, using
its Moon Mineralogy Mapper. It was a great achievement for ISRO and for the

people in India than the entire western hemisphere.
You
all know India is the second most populated country in the world. Currently,

population. Birth rate is very high in India as compared to its death rate. Due

and pollution in India. Now population of western hemisphere is slightly below
1 billion but India’s population is 1.311 billion.

in India.
Shampoo
invented in India, not that they look like those commercial liquid you see now.
They were a mixture of lots of herbs. Shampoo originated in the eastern regions
of Mughal Empire that ruled erstwhile India. It date backs to 1762. Even the
word “shampoo” is taken from the Sanskrit word “chāmpo”.

10. India has zero rupee note.
Like its name, a zero rupee note has not
economic value. Since India is a very corrupted country, this note is given by
angry citizens to the corrupted officials who ask for bribe in return of their
duty. This note is published by non-governmental organization known as 5th
pillar. Since its inception in 2007, over 2.5 million zero rupee notes are
distributed as of August 2004. So basically this note is to teach the corrupted
officials that they are here to help citizens not to force them.
